Clue 1 - Built by an “airgineer”, it is full of air.

Clue 2 - Having crash-landed, it is only visiting for a short time.

Clue 3 - The 'Summersalt' festival is on in Melbourne until the 21st February.

 Clue 4 -  Buzzzzz!

SOLUTION

The honeycomb shaped architecture of Melbourne Recital Centre has attracted more than just music fans this summer! Strong summer winds have caused a boisterous Bumblebee in ballet slippers to crash land into Melbourne Recital Centre’s ground level.

You could find Bumblebee all throughout SummerSalt summer arts festival, along with four other inflatable creatures brought to life including Baby Dino.

Baby Dino. Perched high at MTC’s Southbank Theatre.

Inspired by world-renowned artist Takashi Murakami,

Takashi Murakami

and Japanese toy design, these soaring inflatable sculptures festooned across the SummerSalt footprint combine the work of “airgineer”, artist and designer Felipe Reynolds, theatre-maker and director Ed Boyle with the scenic art talents of Joe Blanck.

“Monsters and creatures are trying to touch the individual in all of us,”
said designer Felipe Reynolds.
“I think we can identity with different types of creatures because they have a sense of play.”
